United States Magistrate Judge, United States District Court, Western District of Texas (part-time) (1981-1989)

  1. Conducted evidentiary hearings and handled requests for injunctive relief.

  2. Presided over civil pre-trial hearings for actions that covered personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, contract law, education law, labor law, employment law, and securities-related litigation.

 

Attorney/Arbitrator/Mediator

  1. Since 1989 has mediated and arbitrated over 2000 disputes, valued at $2.5 billion.

  2. Primary emphasis is on complex, multi-party cases.

  3. Extensive mediation experience in areas of banking, business, commercial, construction, corporate, employment, fraud, insurance, malpractice, municipalities, partnership, personal injury, real estate, and securities litigation.

  4. Mediator/Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the National Arbitration Foundation (NAF), and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR).

  1. Twenty-five years of ADR experience in commercial contracts, partnership agreements, corporate acquisitions and dissolutions, dealership relationships, securities, insurance, and employment disputes.
